Sir Lowery's Pass

This morning we started the day off at breakfast with our community groups. We discussed how we felt about our first day at Sir Lowery’s Pass and our highs and lows from the 1st day. My high was finding two young girls that my friend from home had really connected with when she came on the Global LEAD trip just two years ago. I told the two girls, one 12 and the other 16, that they said hello and they send their love. The two young girls’ faces immediately lit up because they were so excited that someone actually remembered them.

Today in Sir Lowery’s Pass we spent the whole afternoon playing and spending time with the kids. We colored in coloring books, made bracelets, played games, and even danced with some of the teenagers. After playing with the children all afternoon I went to visit my Soup Mom at her house again today. She Welcomed us into her home joyfully and we spent the rest of the day playing games with her grandchildren in street. The past two days in Sir Lowery’s Pass has really touched my heart. I only wish that more people could come in contact with the Sir Lowery’s Pass community. Although they don’t have much, these people have such an immense love for God. I can only be jealous of their extreme joy and love for life!
